Hoysaleswara temple prt13

Hoysaleswara temple prt13 | digitized from slide

I’m not even half way with the slides from India; but I have the feeling that this should be the last India-from-slide-post. It starts to feel like work; and that’s not good čÖé . In this post the rest of The Hoysaleswara temple in Halebid; incredible sculptures. Prt 21 and 22 show quite well what insane details these craftsmen were capable of. Rock looking like cloth; almost surreal. And as the temple is dedicated to Shiva, there is of course a bull waiting in front of the entrance.
Thanks for the Likes and the comments; hope you enjoyed these India-posts.

After our visit to the Giant, the taxi drove us to Halebid, to see the Hoysaleswara temple. It was build in the 12th century and is dedicated to Shiva. Most famous for its sculptures.

In Portfolio I published the theme Architecture today. In this theme I tell a bit more about what fascinates me in photographing architecture.

I love late, low, hard, golden sunlight. Yesterday’s post reminded me of photo’s of greenhouses from 2005. It was half November, around six-thirty in the early evening. It was bright, not too cold and the sun shined hard on, over and through the glass of the Westland.

17:18, vrijdag.

17:18, Friday. EYE in the late sunshine. We try to make as much photo’s as we can, before the movie starts. The movie is a documentary by Ben van Lieshout, inspired on old glass-negatives (early 1900) from the inventor of the Russian color-photography Sergei Prokoedin-Gorski (1863-1944). Beautiful, impressive movie, when you like photography and ‘down to earth’ life.
