The strange Plateau prt2

The strange Plateau prt2

On my 2nd day in Tercui, I walked-climbed down from the village into the barranco of Tercui. It was dry. I wanted to go up again on the other side. I did that once before in October 2007; but in the years after that I could never find a good spot to do it again. This year I tracked something that looked like an old path. After a while I lost it but managed to reach the surface without to many obstacles. Up there is ‘The strange Plateau’. Something happened there once. I don’t know what, but you can sense it. The plateau looks like a big, thin plate of solid rock that is cracked to pieces like a mirror. Some parts look like water; as if the plate once was fluid and then solidified real quick,so that the little waves got fixed in the stone-surface. There are cracks in the surface with traces of a fluid that was once pushed through it and left signs along the cracks. Maybe someone with more geological knowledge can say something about what happened here…

'Big Tree'

‘Big Tree’

Last year I showed  ‘The Oak-Tree from Tercui‘  This year I gave her a name: ‘Big Tree’; familiar to my other tree-friend ‘Little Tree’, from a couple of days ago. ‘Big Tree’ is old. Parts of her are dead already; while other parts still have leafs to catch the warm light of the Sun.
