Next morning we got up early for a hike. Parts of real tropical jungle are still around in the city. Probably not for long. I liked it; but it was a bit weird as well; huge towers rising up over an ancient forest.

  1. Fantastic. love the spider. Have you seen the film..Emerald Forest? It’s been around for a long time. I was reminded of it when you talked about city buildings next to the forest. Janet.

  2. Beautiful photos. The nature you show on your photos is not unlike that of New Zealand (except from the spider) πŸ™‚

    • πŸ™‚ What I know about NZ’s landscapes is mainly from the LOTR/Hobbit movies.. Reminded me of Iceland sometimes; great.

  3. Wonderful nature. I like the image with the sign extra. And shudder of the spider. But at the same time also fascinates.

    • Weirdest spider I have ever seen; including the legs almost as big as a hand.

          • πŸ™‚ What would you have done if the spider had jumped?

          • Jumped even higher! πŸ™‚

          • Hahaha. Me too.

    • Got the same remark from New Zealand. May be those tropical jungles are all one big bore… πŸ˜€

      • Not boring. I was so surprised, when I first landed in Sydney in 1974, at the palm trees, whilst being driven away from the airport. I must admit I miss the trees in England a great deal. And the daisies. Etc. But I’ve learnt to love the exotic flora now.
