One of the Oldest Trees of the World

One of the Oldest Trees of the World

This Tree grows in the center of a little town called: Santa María del Tule, about 11 km. South-East of Oaxaca. It is a more than 2000 years old Montezuma cypress; one of the oldest and largest Trees of the world. Impressive to watch.

    • Certainly; too bad I took only one other shot; but I was more into architecture than into trees in those days.. 🙂

Thanks for showing me this wonderful tree! I didn’t know, that one of the oldest trees in the world was in Mexico……

    • Me neither; but then I typed: ‘big tree, oaxaca’, in the google-bar, because I could not remember the name of the town where the tree is growing; and then it turned out to be quite famous; and old.. 🙂 Thanks for your comment.
