Almost two weeks ago we visited EYE, our Dutch ‘House of Film’, in Amsterdam. Main target was the movie: ‘Of Horses and Men’, of the Icelandic filmmaker Benedikt Erlingsson. ( https://www.eyefilm.nl/en/movies-and-expositions/of-horses-and-men?program_id=11727013 ). A down to earth movie about a small, Icelandic community of people and horses. Tragicomic must for all Iceland-addicts. After that, we walked through the exhibition: Jean Desmet’s Dream Factory. The Adventurous Years of Film (1907-1916). This shot was taken from the exhibition room, through tinted glass; looking into the central restaurant-room.
