  1. Patience that you that it took to get that shot , its incredible, your shutter finger like gun quick on the draw

    • Thank you, Sheldon. They need some time to sit still and dry, so I spotted it at the right moment.

    I say: Very beautiful, Harrie.

‘Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.’ (Ann Landers)

  3. This is fantastic .There are so many of them here .sound they make is sometimes so loud in nature that it is deafening and i never saw this moment beautiful

    • Thanks! They start making noise when the temperature has reached around 25 degrees. So when I’m sitting on the terrace in Spain in the morning and the sun rises, they start making noise on the other side of the barranco; and with the rising of the sun the noise comes slowly towards me. Great; and yes, very loud!

  4. What a wonderful image Harrie – I love the side light and the texture in the wings.

    • Yes; wonderful. We had only a pocket-light and no tri-pod to do the job.

    • Thanks. It was an exciting moment; and it’s amazing that the empty shell still ‘holds on’.
