Somewhere in February 2013 I visited the Leeuwarder Bos, and did a post in the: The Dutch Woods-series (click here). On the third of August of this year a good friend of mine wanted to show me something special that had happened to this wood. When we got there sadness came upon me. In the beginning of 2014 there had been a huge storm. Lot’s of ‘test-tube-trees’ weren’t strong enough to resist the hard wind-blasts; and had cracked like matches. The place felt like a cemetery. Sad sight; although nature had grown some new branches on the leftovers.
