Tercui 2014 prt35: At Javier’s

This is Javier. Harm and me went for some shelter and a beer, while the heavy rain was pouring down on the mountainsides. Javier is a musician. He has been ‘on the road’ for many years as a live performer/studio musician. Never the big mouth in the foreground; but the one in the back who could really play it all. He stopped the touring; got tired of the heavy life and the big ego’s. Now he has a small bar and brews his own beer. A light one and a brown one. Good beers! Things did not go well in his personal life lately. He has kind of a small studio and makes music all by himself and all for himself. And then he took his Ovation acoustic guitar and played a few of his songs. They were really his and went way deeper than all the recorded stuff. When we left, the sun was shining again.

The best of the best my friend. Great atmosphere and emotion which no doubt stems in part from a personal connection with your subject. Really moving.

    • Thank you, Amigo. There certainely was a connection. We even played together; he could follow me easily, I could not follow him. Cheers!
