Tercui 2014 prt13: Montanyana prt1
Close to Tercui lies the village Montanyana. In 1984 it became a monument with historical and artistic interest. We hadn’t been there before. It is small, rough; going up and down the mountainsides; and it has a Romanesque chapel and a church of Romanesque-Gothic style. No shops or restaurants; just a few friendly people.
Looks like a good place for an art community. Janet
It’s quiet, inspiring and ‘nothing is straight’; it only lacks a bar π
Beautiful place. I’ll bet you filled your card that day!
Thank you, Ken. It was a cloudy, grey afternoon, with not so much Spanish passion in the light; so I didn’t manage to fill up the 32gb-card… π
Who needs shops with a place like this? A bar! Yes, that would be nice!
We’re completely on the same level here. π Cheers!
Cheers, prost?
π (That’s how they say it at our neighbors, the Germans; overhere it’s: proost! We are very close with our neighbors.. ).
I am in the NL but party with the Germans sometimes. Both works with a cold glass π
It’s hard to take photos in a cloudy day, but you still managed well. I am traveling in Spain in your blog now. π
Thank you and welcome in Spain! Lot more to visit π
It’s beautiful, but looks very very abandoned out. But I like it.
I think it was even more abandoned; I had the impression that there was quite some restoration-work done and going on. In a year or five it will probably be a monumental, small village for cultural interested tourists.
Love the rustic style. Have a happy day!
Yes, and the climbing up and down was special; and the village is very much a unity with it’s surroundings. Happy day for you too!
