Commemoration Day prt2

Commemoration Day prt2 | Panasonic GF2 | Lumix 7-14mm.| 14mm. | 1/100 | F4 | ISO 100

Today we have Commemoration Day overhere. At 20:00 hours we will be silent for two minutes and think of those who died in the 2nd Worldwar; in the fight against fascism and racism. Still needed, according to some writings. (The carving in the tree says: “Joden moet dood”; translated straight that would be: “Jews should dead”. No proper grammar in both cases; which says a lot about the carvers origins. Kind of a reminder of the forces that caused the holocaust.)

(looks best full screen; click once; and once more on the image and then F11)

  1. Great image and a reminder. We still need the reminders, obviously…

  2. Trees symbolize life. A survivor. Some things should not be forgotten, but it looks that we are doing it anyway.
I discovered that you shooting with the lumix G2. 🙂 This is my favorite camera too, unfortunately started the fuss. So I bought a new camera a few days ago. An olympus OM-D1 that time.

    • The Lumix was from a friend of mine; I wanted to experience shooting with a super-wide lens. Congratz with your new camera; I think it is a very good camera. What lens(es) do you use? Thanks for your comment.

      • I have a 45 mm/ 2.8 f Macro , 12-42 mm/ 2.8f and 45-200 mm 4-5.6 f

        • That’s a nice and complete set. Looking foreward to the shots.
