  1. Currently, I am living in India where everything is made from reinforced concrete and stone. While I tire of the urban life in somewhat regular cycles, the amazing textures and nuances in aging concrete continually draw my eye. It’s great to encounter another who appreciated and sees some of what I see (there’s too few of us out there). Yes, there is beauty to be found even in a flat concrete wall. John Cage said, “Anything can be art. All you have to do is change your mind.” which I take it to mean that at the very least, you just need to be willing to change the way you perceive it… Thanks!

    • I agree with you and John Cage; it’s a state of mind; a way of looking at the outside world. The essence for me is in your words: ‘draw my eye’. I recognize that a lot. Many of the shots that are special to me, crossed my path on unforeseen moments. Suddenly something draws my attention; as if I recognize this ‘something’; and then I’m hooked; focussed; and start making photo’s. After a while, I wake up; go home; curious to see the shots I’ve taken. Thanks for your comment; and great to meet a kindred spirit. See you!
