A Streets in Mysore v1

A Streets in Mysore v1 | digitized from slide

This is one of my favorite shots from the streets of Mysore. The colors of the slide have changed towards a rusty brown-yellow. I also tried a B&W version. Can’t make up my mind, so it’s coming up in a minute. Cheers, enjoy the weekend!

It took me several days to get a little bit used to everything that was happening around me in those streets. In the Netherlands everything is neat arranged; secured; in line and proper. In Mysore it was a complete chaos. Every moment was a surprise. And just when I thought I’d seen it all, a couple of elephants came rushing around the corner. They were all dressed-up for a huge parade that would be performed a few days later. The elephants were out to get used to the street-noises and the people, to prevent them from panicking during the parade.

Waiting for the Bus

To get somewhere, most of the time we took the motorbike from the Alpha Centauri-farm to the little village; and from there a bus to Mysore. Sometimes we drove around the countryside and they showed me some interesting places and friends. Everything was new to me and I enjoyed the simplicity of daily life.
