Strong and powerful expression. The trees seems stretch their arms upward. There are something special about dead trees. I always see their souls.

Yes, those almost desperate gestures up to heaven are very expressive and meaningful. (When you google: ‘de verwoeste stad ossip zadkine’, you will see images of a Zadkine-sculpture in Rotterdam, with familiar gestures. It was created to remember the horror of the bombing of the hart of the city in the 2nd worldwar. It tries to stop the bombs and defuse the terror. Great sculpture). But I like the trees more!

  2. I like your composition… the misty ‘space’ really works in contrast to the landscape! So much going on re: the set up of your shot

Thank you very much, Nanette. It really is a ‘misty space’, ’cause right after the trees it goes straight down into a barranco (canyon) that was filled with mist that was slowly moving up because of the rising sun. I was hooked by the gestures of the trees and the vague light above them. Fine comment!

  3. So dead feeling. Apocalypse now feeling.

Yes; I also like the vague light in the middle of the mist which shows hope.

  4. Such a sad picture. Really stirs up a thousand tales.
    Great Capture, well done
