• It looks like the back end of nowhere, was it easy to get to?

        • It is a bit more touristic than Lakagigar, which I also liked a lot. There are daily tours starting in Reykjavík, from the middle of June to the middle of September. If you want to go by car, you’ll need a 4 wheel drive. Outside the summer season it’s hard to get there. Roads are closed due to snow and water. There is a camping with service center as a starting-point for hiking tours.
