Het is te koud om ver te gaan. Ik houd niet van handschoenen; zeker niet als ik met de camera op pad ben. Het is al achter in de middag; de zon staat laag en weerkaatst hard op het ijs. Mooie buurt.

It’s too cold to go far. I don’t like gloves; especially not when I’m out there with the camera. It’s late in the afternoon; the sun is low and reflects hard on the ice. Nice neighbourhood.

Zo wandel je nietsvermoedend wat door de sneeuw; en zo wordt je ineens gegrepen door de schaduw van een hek op de nog onbetreden sneeuw. Een fijn kwartiertje.

I was strolling through the snow yesterday and suddenly got grabbed by the shadow of a gate on the untouched snow. A nice quarter of an hour.
